Photos of 3 week old Virginia

I've had a lot of fun taking photos of Zeke so I thought, why not take photos of some other babies and see how it goes. Today our friend Melanie brought over her 3 week old baby girl, Virginia. Here are some highlights from the shoot.

A Look Back

I'm sure most of you know by now that I love to go see live music. Well, with our current situation I made the choice last year to only attend concerts that I didn't have to pay for. I thought that I would look back at the shows I saw last year and see how I did. Below is a list of the bands I saw last year and if I paid to see them or not.

Not too bad I have to say. There's some big names in there for free. I managed to win so many tickets because I started to submit for contests in local publications and radio stations (also, for a few shows, I was given tickets as a gift). I even won a few more tickets that I didn't even use (Switchfoot is one that comes to mind). Sure I missed out on lots of great shows by not buying tickets but I couldn't really do anything about that. So, there you go.

Part 2

Here's a few more photos from the same house as the previous post. I'm not as fond of these as the previous batch but I thought they were worth sharing. Hope you enjoy them. I still have photos from another house to go through at some point so hopefully you'll see those soon.

Getting back to photography

Kendra and I took Zeke to Kendra's grandma's in Indiana for Thanksgiving. I decided that I would really like to bring some cameras along and start going out of my way to shoot again. It's been a long time. I got Kendra's great-uncle, Dick, to drive me around the cornfields of Indiana/Ohio to look for things to shoot. We found some really great abandoned barns and houses. The best of all just so happened to belong to Dick. He owns a house that has been sitting empty for 15 years. Well, maybe not empty. When it was abandoned, the previous occupant (Dick's step-son), left everything in the house. Here's a handful of photos (click photo to view larger version).

There was also an abandoned hogbarn behind the house. Here's a couple from inside.
